6th Summer School in Historical Sociolinguistics
9 – 16 August, 2012
Frauenchiemsee, Bavaria, Germany


This is the sixth summer school organised by the Historical Sociolinguistics Network (HiSoN) and it will offer classes by leading experts on modern and historical sociolinguistics. The venue is the abbey of Frauenwörth on the island of Frauenchiemsee (Lake Chiemsee, Bavaria). Classes will take place in the morning and afternoon and you will have the opportunity to present your own research at a special session. Our teachers and modules in 2012 will be


The school will last for one week and will cost €495, which includes accommodation, three meals per day, tuition, and an excursion. If you pay in full by May 1st, you will get a discount of €50. We would like to point out that we're not making a profit from this and neither organisers nor teachers get a fee for their work.
